Universalism has been gaining ground in American religion for years. It’s being fueled more today than ever before, and it’s speeding up at a breakneck pace. Universalism masquerades as Christianity, however, it’s far from the Word the God on many fronts.
One is, it denies the sovereignty of God as the one God of the Holy scriptures. It defines Him as a universal being under which all the world’s religions find refuge, peace, and salvation. Even the religions that do not recognize Jesus as His Son, the Messiah.
It denies the deity of Jesus as the Christ and limits Him to being a mortal human, and a good guy that may have been a prophet. They deny His death on the cross for the sins of the world, and therefore, His Church.
Universalism is an all-inclusive religion that has all humans saved. But what are they saved from, and by whom are they saved? The answer is the Universal God that is known by many names. Yahweh, Muhammad’s god Allah, Buddha, and all others, are all on the same path with the same destination. To Bible-believing Christians, those that believe, and have obeyed the Gospel of Jesus, this is pure heresy and apostasy for those that have embraced its teachings.
There’s much more to be said about the teachings of universalism, but that’s for a different writing. It’s not the purpose of this writing to provide comprehensive details about the teachings of universalism but to shine a light on its aggressive movement. To include, some of the major players that espouse its growth.
The Letter
Have you heard about the document “A Common Word Between Us and You”? For most of you, I’m going to guess the answer is no.
Before I tell you about it, and later show you the document, I must first say something about being a Christian. Why? Because what I’m writing about in this letter will probably affect your children, their children, and even more so their children, if they’re not diligently (2 Timothy 2:15) taught the truth about our Father, His Son, and His Holy Spirit as God.
The attack on the Church of Jesus Christ is very real and is in most part happening from within, just as Peter mentioned in…
1 “But false prophets also appeared among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. 2 Many will follow their indecent behavior, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; 3 and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.”
Even though it’s happening from within, it’s also being fueled by outside sources and forces.
The document “A Common Word Between Us and You” is a letter written on October 13, 2007, by Muslims, that are also leaders of Islam. It’s written to religious leaders around the world. It calls for unity among all the world’s religions, and this unity is to be under one common god. They sent the letter to hundreds of what’s called religious leaders around the globe. The list included “Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere…”, among other religious groups.
All truth-loving Christians should read the letter, and take heed to what is happening in our country, right under our noses. PLEASE READ THE LETTER BEFORE READING ANY FURTHER. CLICK HERE Then come back and finish reading this letter.
The Response
I hope you did me the courtesy of reading the letter from Islam before you finish reading my letter to you.
The letter from Islam that you just read was not the end of this story. If it were, it would not be as dangerous to God’s Church as it is now. Why? Because religious leaders around the world sent response letters back. Some of the responses were in denial of what was proposed. You may think that what is called in the letter “Christian leaders” would be among that group. You would be wrong.
Not only did the ”Christian Leaders” in the United States of America respond, but they also did so in favor of the Muslim’s proposition, and included an apology. The following excerpt is from the American’s response:
“Muslims and Christians have not always shaken hands in friendship; their relations have sometimes been tense, even characterized by outright hostility. Since Jesus Christ says, “First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye” (Matthew 7:5), we want to begin by acknowledging that in the past (e.g. in the Crusades) and in the present (e.g. in excesses of the “war on terror”) many Christians have been guilty of sinning against our Muslim neighbors. Before we “shake your hand” in responding to your letter, we ask forgiveness of the All-Merciful One and of the Muslim community around the world.”
In the excerpt, the writer uses the words of Jesus from Matthew 7:5 out of context, and with a completely erroneous meaning. Then what I can only read as an acknowledgment of the teachings of critical race theory, claiming all Christians are complicit (in the crusades) and (war on terror). Finally, they ask forgiveness, using the language (“All-merciful one.”) found in the Qur’an.
I think you’ll find it interesting to learn about who some of the American “Christian leaders” are on the signatures list. Please make sure to read the letter in its entirety.
This is only an excerpt. Please read the entire response letter. For Christians that truly know God, through His Son, our Savior, this letter is chilling and will disturb your spirit. If not, then lovingly speaking, you don’t know the God of the Bible. I know, that sounds mean and insensitive, but that’s not my intent. My intent is to drive home a Biblical truth. One that you should know if you been a Christian for any time at all.
This is a perfect time for God’s people to stand up for God’s truths and our faith. Please share this with every true Christian you know. You’ll know their faithfulness (fruit) by their response to this information. If unfortunately they are already entangled in universalism, they will treat you as if you’re crazy. They’ll probably treat you as if you’re a false teacher, yet they will not be able to prove it using scripture. However, you will be able to prove this heresy easily by wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
